Cheshire Homes works to empower PWD to lead independent lives of their choice...

Cheshire Homes of Swaziland (CheSwa) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) located in Matsapha. Its main function is to offer rehabilitative services to the disabled. CheSwa was established in 1981 and was officially opened in September 1986 to provide comprehensive rehabilitative services which are accessible, appropriate and affordable to all people with a disability in Eswatini.

It is a member of the Leonard Cheshire Disability (LCD) Alliance; however it is autonomous in its operations. It is part of the Leonard Cheshire Disability (LCD) Global Alliance committed to working with persons with disability (PWD). LCD was established by the late captain Leonard Cheshire hence the name Cheshire Homes. The first Home was set up in the United Kingdom in 1945.

We have served since 1986, providing comprehensive rehabilitative services which are accessible, appropriate and affordable to all people with a disability in Eswatini with both outpatient and residential facilities.
